In the meantime, while on a Racecourse in Ooty, Rajkumar meets Shanti Devi (Moushumi Chatterjee) and her father (Satyen Kapoor). Rajkumar pretends to be Shanti Desai and soon impresses Shanti and her father. On the other hand, Shanti Desai (Dharmendra in a double role) lodges a police complaint about his lost Diner's Card and its unauthorized use by someone else.
Rajkumar, however, reveals his true identity before Shanti and seeks her apology. Shanti forgives Rajkumar and marries him despite her father's (Satyen Kapoor) opposition.
Shanti Desai is a prince, and Bunny (Prem Chopra) is his cunning Diwan. Bunny has a picture in which Shanti Desai seems to kill his sister Princess Ratna (Kumari Naaz).
According to a Will, Shanti Desai can inherit the ancestral property if he gets married in a stipulated time, or the entire property will go to a Trust.
Diwan Bunny has an eagle's eye on the inherited property. He blackmails Shanti Desai and forces him to marry Tony (Bindu), a partner in crime with Bunny.
Shanti Desai learns about Rajkumar Kakkar (Dharmendra) and offers him to stay in the Palace so that he can solve the murder mystery of his sister (Kumari Naaz).
Rajkumar agrees to stay in the Palace and reaches there without any hindrance. However, Jaggi Dada (Ranjeet), an enemy of Rajkumar, kills Shanti Desai in the guise of Rajkumar. What happens next is the rest of the story.
