Once, the Prince beats a priest who denies bowing down before him. However, the priest remains cool and calm and does not scold the Prince.
Shamsher realizes his mistake and wants to repent. The priest suggests that he should sacrifice a luxurious life and live like an ordinary man for six months. Shamsher Singh agrees to do that and makes a fake death drama when his car crashes so that everyone in the palace believes him dead.
Vilayati Ram (Rajendra Nath), an insurance agent, meets the Prince and becomes friendly. However, some dacoits abduct Shamsher Singh. Sajjan Singh (Sudhir), one of the dacoits, helps Shamsher to escape from the dacoits.
Sajjan Singh wants to leave the life of a dacoit and wishes to return to his blind mother after many years. In the meantime, dacoits reach there and start firing. Sajjan Singh dies, but before his death, the Prince promises to take care of his mother throughout his life.
Shamsher visits Sajjan Singh's house, where the blind mother (Leela Chitnis) and neighbors treat him like Sajjan Singh. The Prince now becomes Sajjan Singh and starts living with the blind lady.
The Prince meets Amrita (Vyjayanthimala) and immediately falls for her. Amrita is a princess and daughter of the King of Jamnapur (D.K. Sapru) and initially does not like the Prince. However, the Prince wins the heart of King Jamnapur and gets a good job.
