Movie Plot

Shambhunath Mishra (Sanjay Mishra) lives in Gwalior with his wife, Manju Mishra (Neena Gupta). The old couple lives a miserable life in a dilapidated house.

The couple has a son who wants to go USA for a job. Shambunath takes two separate loans from a Bank and Prajapati Pandey (Saurabh Sachdeva), a loan shark, by mortgaging his house.

Now the son is settled in the USA and does not bother about his parents. On the other hand, the old couple hardly bears their day-to-day expenses. To meet the day-to-day requirement and to pay loan installments, Shambhunath gives tuition to kids, including Naina (Ananya Singh).

Naina is a bubbly school-going kid, the only source of happiness in the lives of the Mishra family, whose lives are otherwise tragic. She comes to their home regularly for tuition.

Prapati Pandey is a hardcore criminal and runs his activities with the help of a corrupt police officer Shakti Singh (Manav Viz). Since Prapati increases his criminal activities, Shakti asks for more bribes. Prapati is helpless because the local MLA Rathore Dada (Jaspal Singh Sandhu) supports Shakti.

Twist in the story

Prajapati decides to sell the house of Shambhunath and gives him two days to vacate the house or face dire consequences in case of failure. Shambhunath later goes to the police station to file a complaint and witnesses Prajapati talking to visibly angry Shakti Singh.

After Prajapati leaves, Shambhunath requests Shakti to resolve the issue, who flatly refuses. Later that night, when Shambhunath is alone at home, Prajapati arrives and assaults him. After he calms down, he tells Shambhunath to fetch Naina for an hour.

Shambhunath gets out of control and stabs Prajapati in the throat with a screwdriver in a fit of rage. When Manju returns home, she is shocked to find Prajapati dead. However, Shambhunath calms her down and disposes of the body.
