Farz (1967) is considered first Spy Thriller Bollywood Movie released on 6 October, 1967 (India). The movie was produced by Sunderlal Nahata and Pothina Dundeshwara Rao. Farz (19670 was directed by Ravikant Nagaich. The movie became a Box Office Blockbuster by earning Rs. 5 Crores approximately (Worldwide) and also became the Third Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 1967 after Upkar and Ram Aur Shyam, followed by Hamraaz, Shagird and Jewel Thief.
Farz (1967) is a remake of Telugu Movie Gudachari 116 (1966). The movie had two sequels namely Keemat (1973) starring Dharmendra, Rakha and Prem Chopra in lead roles and Raksha (1982) starring Jeetendra and Parveen Babi in lead roles.
Farz (1967) had some soulful soundtracks like Mast Baharon Ka Main Aashiq, Baar Baar Din Ye Aaye both songs sung by Mohammed Rafi, Hum To Tere Aashiq Hai sung by Mukesh and Lata Mangeshkar, Tumse O Haseena sung by Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. All songs were composed by the musical duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal and lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi.
Farz (1967) Movie Plot: Secret Agent 303 gets some proof against a conspiracy and he called chief (David) but before he is killed before he can hand over the relevant pictures. Another Secret Agent 116 named Gopal (Jeetendra) has now been assigned the job to search out for those photographs and to find the culprits who killed Agent 303.
Gopal leaves for the city where Agent 303 was killed. During his journey he meets Sunita (Babita) a pretty girl who befriends with him. Sunita is daughter of Damodar (Sajjan) who is a part of the Mafia gang who killed Agent 303. Gopal’s investigation soon reveals the truth and he informs Sunita about her father who vows not to do any wrong doings for the sake of his daughter. But the supreme of the gang kidnaps Sunita and forces Damodar to continue his illegal activities.
