Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965) is a Romantic Bollywood Movie released on 2 December, 1965. The movie was produced by T. R. Sethia, P.M. Sethia and H. M. Sethia. The movie was directed by Suraj Prakash. The movie became superhit on Box Office by earning Rs. 5.5 Cror and also became the 2nd Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 1965 followed by Manoj Kumar and Mala Sinha starrer Himalay Ki God Mein. Waqt remains the Highest Grossing Bollywood Movie of 1965.
Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965) has beautiful soundtracks such as Ek Tha Gul Aur Ek Thi Bulbul, Affoo Khudaya, Pardesiyon Se Na (Male), Yahan Main Ajnabhi Hoon all sung by Mohammed Rafi and Pardesiyion Se Na (Female), Ye Samaa Samaa Hai Ye; sung by Lata Mangeshkar. The song Na Na Karte Pyar was sung by Mohammed Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. These were composed by Kalyanji-Anandji who were assisted by less know musical duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal. Lyrics were penned by Anand Bakshi. 1996 Movie Raja Hindustani also inspired by Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965).
Jab Jab Phool Khile (1965) Movie Plot: Raj Bahadur Chunni Lal is a wealthy person and has only daughter Ritha Khann (Nanda). Raj Bahadur and his wife (Mridula) want Rita to marry with Kishore (Jatin Khanna) but Rita keeps on postponing the same.
Rita visits Kashmir with her friends for a holiday and meets with Raja (Shashi Kapoor) owner of the Houseboat and falls in love with him. He introduced him with his father who initially dislikes Raja but bows before her daughter with the condition that Raja would change his personality. Raja does accordingly and changes his looks and attires. Raja and Rita are happily married and a party is thrown by Raj Bahadur where Rita dances with other men too. This culture is new to Raja and he is not able to bear the same. This could lead a quarrel between Rita and Raja who leaves Rita’s house as such he is not able to adjust with this culture.
