
About 8th Filmfare Awards 1961
Filmfare Awards are one of the most prestigious awards given to the artists of Indian Cinema. These awards are given by Filmfare Magazine every year to acknowledge talents Hindi Cinema.
Filmfareware Awards initiated in the year 1954 and the First Filmfare Awards ceremony held on 21 March 1954 in Metro Cinema, Bombay (now Mumbai).
The glamorous 8th Filmfare Awards 1961 also held in Mumbai to acknowledge and honor the best talent in Hindi Cinema of the year 1960 The First Filmfare Awards announced on 21 March 1954 where only five awards given in five categories. Since then these awards have been given on almost every year.
