About 17th Filmfare Awards 1970
Filmfare Awards are given to acknowledge and honor the best talent in Hindi Cinema in variious categories. The glamorous 17th Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai for the 17th consecutive year since 1954.
The First Filmfare Awards announced on 21 March 1954. Since then these awards have been given on almost every year. However, only five Awards were given in the 1st Filmfare Awards under five categories i.e. Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Music.

17th Filmfare Awards 1970-Highlights

Aradhana received most number of nomimations (9). However, it could won only 3 for Best Film, Best Actress and Best Male Playback Singer.

Jeene Ki Raah received Six nomination (Second Highest) and won for only Two for Best Music and Best Female Playback Singer.

Anokhi Raat nominated for Four awards and won all Four and became the highest Award winner in the 17th Filmfare Awards.

Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool nominated for Two awards and won both of them.

Ittefaq nominated in Five categories but won only Two for Best Director and Best Sound.

Ashok Kumar nominated in the categories of Best Actor and Best Supporting for the same movie Aashirvad.
