About 19th Filmfare Awards 1972
Filmfare Awards are given to acknowledge and honor the best talent in Hindi Cinema in variious categories. The glamorous18th Filmfare Awards held in Mumbai for the 19th consecutive year since 1954.
The First Filmfare Awards announced on 21 March 1954. Since then these awards have been given on almost every year. However, only five Awards were given in the 1st Filmfare Awards under five categories i.e. Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Music.
